Thanks for your vulnerability & sharing... this is "doing the work"! I've noticed the same tendencies in myself (as well as pretty pronounced ADD on Zoom calls) thanks to remote life. Haven't found a therapist to my liking yet, so Julia Cameron's morning pages exercise are my current format for understanding my subconscious tendencies and breaking loops/ unserving habits. What's been most incredible for me in my spiritual/ self-awareness journey the last 5-7 years is just how rich and beautiful life can be if we choose to embrace the complexities & *human-ness* of this experience.
Thank you for your thoughts! The morning pages exercise sounds intriguing. In a couple months I’ll be stopping therapy for half a year and this sounds like something I can pick up.
And yes, this self -awareness journey has been the most exciting ‘travel’ I have ever embarked on. Who’d have thunk! I look forward to reading more of your poems and thoughts.
